Ultra violet (UV) rays from the sun is a major hazard. We are all aware of the importance of applying sunblock to prevent the sun’s UV rays from causing sunburn. The same harmful UV rays have a direct and cumulative impact on eye health, accelerating eye ageing and can also cause a variety of severe eye conditions, including cataracts and certain cancers. Up to 80% of UV rays can pass through the clouds on a cloudy day and up to 40% of damage caused by UV rays occurs when we are not directly in the sun

KODAK UVBlue Lens reduces exposure to ultraviolet light that can lead to cataracts by filtering out 99% of UV at 400nm. That’s a lot of protection, especially considering that regular lenses block only 70% of UV at 400nm
